Bennett's first birthday
It's Bennett first birthday on 1/12/2007. He had an eventful day.
He had a medical appointment early in the morning. Dr. Narayan said he's a "petite baby" since he weighed only 17 lbs 9 oz (5 percentile) and his height was 27.5 inches (below 5 percentile). A recheck on his weight and height was scheduled in two months. Bennett was so brave that he did not cry when he had a shot of combined vaccine.
Later, we joined the 1-2 years old toddler class to the San Diego Zoo. It was so windy and cold. Bennett had a nap more than one hour which was a bit unusal. Maybe he just let mom and dad had some time together. Afterall, it's also their 4th anniversary. Bennett had his lunch after he got up. Glad that we had some time to visit the panda and also the hippo. The hippo was so huge. He was showing off by swimming back and forth.
In the evening, we had fellowship meeting. There was a cake cutting for this little boy. Humm... it's yum to taste his first bite of the strawberry ice-cream cake. He just could not stop eating it. Good choice, mom and dad!
Thanks also to all the aunties and uncles for the thoughtful gifts (Waiting, Cheung Cheung, Sheirman, Allen + Jasper, Jane, Victor, Paul, June + Alex, Canace, Eddie + Adrienne, Ken, Lily, Peter, Helen, Tenny).
